• <H1> CO2 PRODUCTION PLANTS
• <H1> The CO2 production plant is based on combustion of desulphurized fuel gas or liquid oil. The controlled combustion of fuel gas in the generator-reboiler produces a flue gas rich with CO2.
• <H1> The flue gas passes in a water scrubber for washing and cooling,then it goes to the absorbing tower where the CO2 is absorbed in a MEA solution and carried out down to the bottom vessel.
• <H1> From the absorber the CO2 rich solution is pumped to the MEA/MEA exchanger for preheating by means of lean MEA solution coming from the reboiler,before to be sprayed in the stripper.Dropping down through the packing of the stripper the rich MEA solution releases the CO2 to the top.The vapours are cooled in a water cooled exchanger :the condensate is separated in the demister,while the cooled CO2 gas goes to the low pressure washing towers. From the reboiler the MEA solution completely regenerated,is pumped through the MEA/MEA exchanger to be precooled and to MEA/WATER exchanger to be cooled before entering in the absorber.
• <H1> The CO2 gas from the stripper passes through chemical and water washers to remove possible entrainements of solution. The CO2 is then compressed in a non lubricated process two stages compressor and passed through the automatic molecular sieve dryer to remove the moisture completely.The activated carbon purifier and the fine filter removes smelling, impurities and remaining powders. The purified gas is sent to the CO2 liquefier, traces of non condensable gases still contained in the CO2 gas remain gaseous when the CO2 gets liquid in the liquefier.
• <H3> Air and these non condensable-gases are used for regeneration of dryer, the pure liquid CO2 flows to the insulated storage tank. From the tank the carbon dioxide can be taken off to the evaporator and to the utilization line.
• <H3> Dependent upon and product requirement, the CO2 can be used for following services: • as gaseous CO2 for beverage carbonation or other use • for filling into high pressure CO2 cylinders by means of a pump • for conversion into Dry Ice blocks or pellets

• <H3> DRYING UNIT "HEAT-LESS" SERIES CD Operation :
• <H3> Compressed air passing through one of the two towers is dried by the adsorbent material (adsorption process - Van Der Waals theory) Simultaneously, the other tower is regenerated by purging a small volume of the treated air from the outlet of the first tower. The two towers automatically alternate operation every 3 to 5 minutes. Where to use :
• <H3> For all uses requiring compressed air with a forced drying grade (D.P. -40 °C - 70 °C). The recommended flow rates go from 5 to 1.000 mVh (80 L/min -16.000 L/min).

• <H2> Liquid C02 contained in the storage tank has to be vaporized when users require its utilization in the gaseous phase.
• <H2> Air heated vaporizers use forced air to vaporize the liquid C02: no electrical resistances are required, and only a negligible power for the fans has to be fed to the electrical panel. TPI vaporizers are supplied prewired and pretested and ready for use: installations can be made within minutes. In order to allow air side defrosting, the unit is provided with two evaporating circuits alternatively put on stream by means of switch-over valves.
• <H2> Installed on its own frame in an engine room,the vaporizers help to cool the ambient. Outdoor installation is also possible.
• <H2> Required connections: • liquid C02 inlet (standard execution with s.s.flanges) • vaporized C02 outlet (standard execution with s.s.flanges) • power cable for electric panel
• <H1> Suitable for medium to large flow capacities where forced or absolute dew points are required (-40 °C/70 °C/-100 °C). The recommended flow rates start from 400 m3/h. Minimal consumption of purge air. Operation costs are considerably less than the "HEAT-LESS" system. Units are available for all requirements. Steam and electrical regeneration. Regeneration with partial vacuum available. Closed circuit regeneration (zero purge).
